Blogging about Blogging…

March 23, 2016

On January 7th, 2015, I took the decision to start my very own blog. I have always enjoyed sharing certain aspects of my life with others, and up until then, I had Instagram as a platform that allowed me to share my life in photos. But it didn’t feel like Instagram was enough, and I felt like I needed to compliment my posts with stories, and what better way to do this than through my very own personal blog.

At first, the idea seemed daunting and overwhelming as I had no idea where to start or how the whole blogging thing worked. So I started by checking out other people’s blogs which I felt I related to and ones that inspired me. I found myself in bits and pieces of every blog, which when I put it together, created a beautiful world that reflected the person I am.

All I did then was google, “How to start my own blog”, and it took me to, which I instantly signed up for, chose my own theme and template, and in one night, was Live!

Now it was time to put pen to paper, or in this case, fingers to keyboard and start writing! I wanted people to have a chance to get to know me by reading my stories and I wanted to write in a way where my readers could hear my voice.

And that’s how my love for blogging all started.

Today I find blogging therapeutic. It’s my “Karen” time, my reflections and words, thoughts and my memories, all in one place. I think of my blog as my diary, a place where I can let out what I feel and share things that I am going through while adding some photos which reflect me and my life. Most importantly, I love that I can do this from the comfort of my home, with my little babies right next to me (happening right now lol). This was one of the main reasons I wasn’t afraid to launch my blog right after Georgie’s birth. I was lucky enough to find something which I love to do, while I am with the people I love most… And this is why I am constantly motivated to share more and more of my stories with you and make you a part of my life.

So thank you for reading and and thank you for making my words matter. 🙂

Our outfits are all from Reserved in Abu Dhabi Mall. They have a big selection of loungewear which I am always so tempted to shop lol. I love wearing nice PJs even if it’s just to hang out at home, over the fact that I am obviously super comfortable in them I also feel like it looks good when your PJs look nice:)
